One District One Product- Ahmednagar
The Government of India’s Department for Promotion of Industry, and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, introduced the ‘One District One Product’ (ODOP) initiative to promote local entrepreneurship and empower rural areas by harnessing their traditional skills and industries. The program aims to create sustainable livelihood opportunities and foster economic growth at the district level.

The ODOP Initiative is the manifestation of the vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, to foster balanced regional development across all districts of the country. The idea is to select, brand, and promote one product from each district of the country for enabling holistic socioeconomic growth across all regions. The mandate of the ODOP initiative includes identifying, understanding, and solving problems associated with each of the chosen products at all points in their respective supply chains, improving the market accessibility of the chosen products, and dedicated handholding of the producers to harness the full potential of the chosen products.
