Temple Of  Devi  Katrabad, Mandavgaon Taluka -Shrigonda

The temple of Devi seems to be originally dedicated to Laxminarayana and is now dedicated to Devi. The temple consists of a sanctum, a hall with three entrances and a surviving porch in front. The garbhagriha and mahamandapa are missing and repaired latter. The capital has various figures with cobras on pilaster brackets. The shrine with a well carved door is on a lower level than the mahamandapa and has an image of Devi and five feet high mutilated image of Laxminarayana . Except a string course of lozenge ornamentation, the outside of the temple has not much carving. The pillars are in square octagonal and round sections. The outer wall of the temple is decorated with the geometrical designs and mouldings. It is datable to 12th-13th century AD.
