Bhavani Temple
Triple Shrined Temple Bhavani,At-Tahakari Taluka Akole
The Bhavani temple was originally constructed during Yadava regime and later on fallen shikhara and roof was reconstructed in late medieval period. The principle shrine houses the images of Mahalaxmi, followed by a spacious antarala attached to a mahamandapa provided with other two shrines dedicated to Laxmi and Bhairavi on both sides and a mukhmandapa in front. The sabhamandapa is supported by elegantly and elaborately carved pillars. The outer wall of the shrine is decorated with fine sculptures. The screen wall is embellished with mithuna figures. The temple is datable to 12th century AD.
